Ayodhya Ram Mandir Live Updates: The inauguration of the new Ram Temple has marked not only a milestone in the history of the BJP-RSS but also a new chapter in national politics.
A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, he shared visuals of the event saying, “What we saw in Ayodhya yesterday, 22nd January, will be etched in our memories for years to come.” The video shared by the PM over X showed glimpses of the ‘Pran Prathishtha’ ceremony, an emotional Sadhvi Ritambhara and other religious leaders who attended the event.
A large number of people queued up to visit the new temple on Tuesday morning. The 51-inch idol, which was unveiled yesterday, will now be referred to as ‘Balak Ram’. The old idol of Ram Lalla, meanwhile, has been placed in front of the new idol inside the sanctum sanctorum. Visuals from this morning saw huge crowds entering into the temple premises, while security has been deployed to manage the rush, according to news agency ANI.
The inauguration of the new Ram Temple has marked not only a milestone in the history of the BJP-RSS but also a new chapter in national politics. In the run up to the Lok Sabha elections, it has framed a new challenge for the Opposition. The INDIA bloc of Opposition parties stayed away from the ceremony — with some maintaining tactical silence and others attacking the BJP government for “blurring” the lines between religion and State.
